Syncronizing Your Dreams with Positive Belief

It’s been 10 months now since I’ve embarked on this journey.  I started out in search of a way to “harness the beast” of the Internet in order to become financially and location independent and have ended up finding so much more!

I have found it IS possible to work from your labtop and even do it anywhere in the world.  I haven’t actually done the “anywhere in the world” part, but click here to see a couple who did. It’s Possible!

Don’t Be Rich, Live Rich!

Looking for a new way of making a living has led me to a new way of living…and to new ways of thinking.

Combing the power and genius of the Internet with the new schools of thought in the area of Positive Psychology(click on me)…what I am ultimately learning to do…is to affect my everyday life by using my mind to change thoughts, beliefs and to effect positive change now…starting in my head…and ending in my heart.

Once you glimpse the magic of reprogramming your brain (through the mind, thoughts and emotions), aligning yourself to be congruent inside yourself (soul, desires & thoughts) & seeing it effect your outer experience in ways like drawing new, right people into your life or everything beginning to fall into place in a certain area of your life, you begin to realize that you REALLY…amazingly, can change your life by changing what you think about and focus on.

It’s not all peaches & cream…in honesty its some of the most challenging, difficult work I have ever done in the area of personal development.  It’s stretching me, provoking me, pushing me to change and restructure my ways of thinking, my old, limiting beliefs, my ideas, my motives, my moment by moment thoughts.  But don’t let that detour you away from exploring.

For it’s liken to an adventurous journey….where you are not sure what the destination is but the process of getting there holds all kinds of opportunities for growth, excitement and challenges.  Not all bad, but not all good either…this is defiantly a no pain, no gain type of thing…but the rewards are well worth the uncomfortable places and the awkward moments you may encounter.

Well, let me rephrase that last sentence.  I am finding, daily, that the rewards are worth what effort I’ve put in, but it’s been a work in progress and I daily have to bring myself back around to remember to put in that effort.  Kinda like lifting weights….little by little, you become stronger, leaner and more capable.

Through this journey of personal growth & learning to create a digital income, I believe I have finally found a vehicle for financial independence that I have been looking for on the internet for the past 10 months.

Between busting my limiting beliefs around money, being open to believe there was a way to create a legitimate stream of income on the internet, and working through quite a few inconvenient truths that I discovered about myself along the way, I have allowed/drawn into my life an opportunity, a company, a vehicle…that can help transport me to a place of greater and greater financial independence & which pushes me towards peak personal development.

It fits all my criteria…its’ personal, it’s fun, it’s creative, it’s entrepreneurial, it’s photography, it’s using words to inspire, motivate & encouarge, it’s touching people’s lives in simple, yet profound ways using the World Wide Web, it’s digital income and it’s location independent!

It’s also built upon the shoulders of some of the most passionate, quality, supportive people I have ever run across and it’s exploding right now as we speak. (Kinda like Netflix exploded when they hit the internet with a convenient, inexpensive way to rent movies.)  I can’t wait to see where that part of the journey leads, (Curious? Email me to find out more at, put the word “Curious” in the subject line)

At any rate…

The following are some of the things I am learning and practicing in order to see more Positive Change Now.

I am learning to synchronize my dreams with positive belief.

I am also making sure that I am congruent inside myself… with what I say I want and desire and what is actually buried in my sub & super consciousness.

I am learning to focus ONLY on what I want to allow/draw into my life and not focus or lend my mind to anything that I DONT want in my life.  This is daily exercise for me…

I am also learning about energy, positive and negative; outward, pushing away energy; open, allowing, inward energy.  I am learning how to create & harness that positive energy from myself, others and the universe to fuel creating the life I see myself living in my imagination.

I have enough history now behind me that I can look back and begin to see the fruits of my efforts manifesting in my present moment. That’s cool!

I haven’t arrived by any means….but I can see ways I am changing in my thoughts, beliefs and actions.  And I can see that being expressed, slowly, but surely, in my life around me.

Fire Your Inner Critic!

Tonight I decided to fire my inner critic.

He was giving me a hard time about something trivial.  Trying to discourage me from doing something that I really was wanting to do and it felt like it was for no other reason that to give me grief.

It made me mad!

I closed my eyes for a moment to help myself calm down and instantly pictured a darkened theater with a person in silhouette sitting in the seats watching a movie, the movie of my life.  It reminded me of Robert Ebert doing a film critic, but my inner critic seems to like criticizing me just to keep me off kilter, not to actually do any good.

Do I decided it was time to try someone new.

There is certainly no hard and fast rule that say you CANT fire your critic, and I really wanted to take away the power my inner critic has lorded over me for so many years.

I at first pictured sending him out of the theater to teach him a lesson.  But a second later I felt  intuitively that I should just simply…fire him!

So I did… And it felt good! lol

Then I quickly proceeded to fill the vacancy with an inner coach who would motivate me, push me and help me move forward in my life…but with positive reinforcement and not continually negative, nagging, or detrimental comments.  It really put a smile on my face and felt right to do.  I was taking my power back!

What I needed was a positive inner coach instead of a negative inner critic! Brilliant!

Maybe your sick and tired of being bullied or harassed by your personal inner critic.  Maybe it’s gone on for years and years.  You might have tried to argue, to silence or to control it, but probably to no avail.  Some will give you ways and ideas on how to work “with” your inner critic, how to ‘live’ with your inner critic…but I say, why not just fire him and hire someone that actually wants to see you succeed and wants to help in a positive way?

Why not?  It’s your headspace…

I’ve tried those ways and ideas, but to no avail…at least not any great result..l those methods just keep you tangled up and a still a slave to it.

But tonight I think  I have made a much more fundamental shift in giving myself permission to absolutely, completely fire that critic and not to look back.  It may take a few days or even weeks of reinforcement efforts…but the inner critic is just a bad habit that we allow to take up space in our heads.

So why not fire you inner critic too!?

You can replace him with anyone you choose, a life coach, a counselor, an older version of yourself even.  And if that ex-employee tries to take back his old job, just stop, take a deep breath and stand your ground.  Reaffirm your decision and stick to it and your old inner critic will get the hint after awhile.

Your brain space is just that….YOURS!  But if you don’t draw the line and create healthy boundaries for what you will or will not allow…in your life AND in your head…you get what you get.

You should not allow anyone to talk to you in way that is cruel, hurtful or debilitating to yourself.  You wouldn’t let someone talk to your children that way, you probably wouldn’t allow someone to talk to your mother, father or sister that way.  So why would you allow a part of your inner self to speak to you in that way either?

Sometimes we don’t realize that we have a choice, or that we can do something about it and we get into a unconscious habit of tolerating our inner critic.  And the problem with the Inner Critic is that he doesn’t get easier to deal with or kinder as he goes along….he usually gets worse.  But it’s up to you and what you will accept in your space, in your life and in your head!

So! Go ahead…the next time you realize your inner critic is hassling you….close your eyes, take a couple deep breaths and imagine your Inner Critic there with you…and just do it!

Fire Him!

It really will feel good…I promise.

But remember, it’s key that you purposefully “hire” someone else to take that place or he WILL be back to check and see if there is a vacancy.

Fire your inner critic today

Perfectly Imperfect…

Today I was working on a ‘belief buster’ worksheet for a personal struggle I have identified as “The need to perform perfectly in order to be acceptable”.   I further perceived that this belief stemmed from a place of fear in myself, which I’ve discovered is a place I have operated from much of my life.

I have also realized that this limiting belief is holding me back from creating the life I truly desire and deserve and from trying new things that would create successful momentum .  For if you believe in a very deep, subconscious way, that you must perform/act in a perfect manner in order to be acceptable, you will tend to hold yourself back (usually subconsciously)  from trying things or taking risks that might expose the fact that your not perfect and therefore not acceptable.   What a sad place to live from!

I have also discovered, concerning this particular struggle & others, that I have become most adept at distracting myself in everyday life in order to keep from feeling any uncomfortable or intense negative emotions that are attached to the painful beliefs around my imperfection and it’s consequence of being unacceptable.

Mind you, that until now, as I am unearthing these limiting beliefs and feelings, that I was unaware I was operating in such a manner.  So, it’s been quite shocking to me actually, to discover that I subconsciously have been manipulating daily life and sabotaging opportunities in order to avoid (at all costs), the possibility of encountering any of those distressing emotions.

This morning, as I was working my way through my Belief Buster Worksheet, I took a moment to be quiet, go to my Alpha level and see what my subconscious would bring up around this issue.  Surprisingly, I was immediately taken back to a time when I was in 6th or 7th grade in a private Christian school.  I remembered being in one of the large downstairs rooms with a piano and a group of students lingering about it.

Someone I think, who knew that I took piano lessons, urged me to sit down and play something.  I was very hesitant, as I usually would tense up and forget my notes when I had to play in front of people, but sat down anyway, hoping that I could perform a piece and elicit some approval from my peers.  Needless to say, I choked, forgot my notes and was deeply embarrassed.  I remember getting up from the piano and walking away feeling very ashamed and foolish.  And to make things worse another classmate of mine, (I even remember his name, Cary) sat down after me and proceeded to wow the group with his flawless, entertaining piano playing! Ugh!

As I remembered this scene moment by moment, I could see and feel how it had contributed to my newly discovered feelings of being unacceptable because of failing to perform perfectly. It fit the M.O exactly.

I knew I had to work through those agonizing feelings and pressed forward to spend the next twenty minutes analyzing that incident and trying to discern the best way to begin reprogramming my brain and my memory in a way that would better serve me and release some of the hurtful emotion.

I intuitively determined  to do two things.  I replayed the episode in my memory, but took creative license, and generated an alternate ending.  In my contrived ending, my older, more confident self, came and sat down beside me there at the piano, and we proceeded to play a lively rendition of the well-known “Heart and Soul” duet to the great delight of my peers.  I ended the scene with the two of us, the younger and older version of myself, hugging and smiling at our enjoyable performance.

The second thing I understood to do, was to begin writing some positive affirmations that spoke directly into that situation and into the resulting fear of being imperfect and unacceptable.  The following are examples of what I came up with.  ( I also did several rounds of tapping in order to interrupt the flow of negative energy that came up while I was remembering these feelings.  Click on the previous sentence to find out more about Tapping)

1) I fully and completely embrace my whole self, even though I am not perfect.

2) I am imperfect and it’s ok.

3) I will no longer be ashamed of myself because I am not perfect.

4) Acceptance and perfection do not have to go hand in hand.

5) I will no longer view my imperfection as a fatal personal flaw.

6) I will no longer despise myself for being imperfect.

7) I am safe, supported and accepted, even though I am not perfect.

8) I do not need to be perfect to be accepted.

9) All people are imperfect…I am not alone in this.

10) I will no longer stifle myself or who I desire to become because I am not perfect.

I found that verbally committing to accept myself in these way brought abundant relief to my soul and greatly displaced the unpleasant emotions surrounding that memory.  I also became aware that the original statement (I must be perfect to be acceptable) did not “feel” so true any longer.  On a scale of 1 to 10, I started out at a 9 and ended up at a 3, that’s great progress!

I also explored some “I am” statements to solidify my newly established beliefs and to help  create a safe internal environment for me to begin to accept a different set of thoughts surrounding how I feel about myself.  Here are a few examples:

1) I am safe with myself

2) I am warmly accepted and supported by myself

3) I affirm myself

4) I am delighted with myself

5) I completely receive and welcome myself

6) I am more and more secure in myself

7) I deeply love and embrace myself

I spoke these phrases to myself while placing one palm against my solar plexus chakra  and the other palm pressed on my heart chakra…I don’t know exactly why, it just felt right. It seemed as if I could impress these positive thoughts into my soul and begin to build on them, while also replacing the negative, painful feelings at the same time.

It was a truly amazing experience and feel as I have made considerable strides in overcoming this particular limiting and damaging belief. I can’t wait to see how I am able to move forward in my life now that these blocks have been  dissolved.  I am perfectly imperfect and I completely accept myself!

Cheers to forward momentum and positive change now!

New Neuro Habits

“Accept the understanding
that we are always getting better
at something and several things
soon become apparent:

  1.   If we have done the behavior many times, and we have a solid neural pathway, it becomes hard not to do the behavior.
  2. The only way to change a habit is to stop using the old habit and create a new habit that you use instead.
  3. This applies to good habits and bad habits equally.”

Advanced concepts and findings in this current era are making it easier to literally reprogram our brains: conscious and subconscious

One simple, yet profound technique to reprogram your brain is utilizing the power of positive words.  The following are 25 examples of positive affirmations that you can use daily to begin imputing information into your brain that will begin to change your thoughts, which will change your chemical reactions, which will then begin to profoundly impact the decisions and actions that you take everyday.

Positive Affirmations to Assist in Creating New Neuro Habits:

11) I am learning to think only thoughts that empower me and not weaken me.

12) I am seeing myself change and growth at an amazing speed that I didn’t think possible.

13) My confidence in myself is growing by leaps and bounds daily.

14) I am no longer afraid to go after the desires and dreams I want.

15) I am moment by moment designing and creating the life I desire.

16) I am learning to allow those things I need and want to enter my life.

Personal Growth: Tapping into the Subconscious Mind

Over the past several weeks I have had a lot of time to do some deep inner work.

Deep and consistent.

It’s like I have been in my own personal training sessions and have been pushing myself to take it to the next level.

I have discovered so many engaging, new techniques over the past months and have been trying them out one by one.  Tapping for personal growth, EFT Techniques, The Alpha Session in the Silva Method are a few examples that you check out for yourself. (you may click on any of the underlined words which are links and will take you to a page that will explain more in the depth the concept underlined)

I also purchased, after many weeks of researching different programs, the first part of The Silva Life Course or Silva Method, which teaches you how to better manage your mind and mental capacities at greater and greater levels.

It’s truly intriguing and I have found some of the exercises to be very powerful in learning how to center yourself and drop your brain wave levels to Alpha and Theta (the levels that most people never operate out of and which help bring the subconscious into the conscious realm).  It’s been compared to learning how to meditate like seasoned practitioners, but not taking years and years to learn it.  (Another example of Jet Speed Personal Growth that’s available to us now)

At these levels of the mind, science is now beginning to prove what ancient healers have always known intuitively and what Western culture and medicine is starting to finally embrace, we are able to connect with our creative intuition, relieve stress, push peak performance and release negative patterns of belief that may have limited us for our entire life.  It’s actually pretty exciting and I have been using myself as the guinea pig to discover what really works and what doesn’t.

I am a skeptic by nature, but also consider myself open-hearted to new ideas or methods until they are proven ineffective or just plain wrong.

Many of the techniques can feel strange or look strange at first, but I have found that one of the most delightful dynamics is that they are noninvasive, highly specific and have no side-effects.  Add to that the aspect that many of them work with surprising speed, depending on the nature of the issue you are working on.

One of my favorites techniques I am currently using is The Alpha Session in The Silva Method. It is an extremely simple yet powerful exercise that helps you train your brain and body to deeply relax and enable you to reach a very healthy level of mind within a few minutes.  After the fifteen minutes are up you feel revived, rejuvenated and better than before.  Plus, while you are using it, your mind is in  a state of calm and awareness that can help you think more creatively, apply positive changes and work through daily issues more quickly.

We are living in a time that brings much hope in many areas, even amidst the daily onslaught of negative, fearful programming we receive.  Humankind is reaching levels of personal evolution that just ten years ago would have been considered impossible, and all at our fingertips through the World Wide Web.

There is much more to come.  It’s going to be an amazing ride, so don’t get overwhelmed with what’s going on around you.  Continue to improve yourself, and regardless of the state of the world, you will be in a position to help others and help yourself move forward into positive changes.

Cheers to moving your life forward!

Jet Speed Personal Growth

There has never been a time history where so much opportunity for personal growth exsists!

Traditionally, personal growth/self-help, depending on the method you chose, could take months, years, possibly even decades to see real, lasting results.  Things are dramatically changing now and have been rapidly changing for the past 10 years when it come to what’s available to the average individual to see deep positive change.

It’s an exciting time to be alive if you are someone who strives to be a better person each day or if you enjoy pushing yourself to the limits of personal growth.  I am one of those people and if you are reading this you are probably one too!

And the methods of receiving this information have changed drastically too!

For years and years there have been only a few avenues through which you could find quality information in the area of personal growth.  You could see a professional therapist/counselor or track down various books on the subject.  Paying a therapist can be outside the ability of many people’s budget to afford, or maybe outside their comfort zone.  Books are a wonderful way to receive valuable information, but can be a slow and arduous process to find the right methods for a particular person.

Don’t get me wrong! I highly recommend counseling and the like.  Through the years I have utilized the profession with wonderful, pleasing results.  But the majority of the time I have been unable to afford the quality therapy I needed, when I needed it the most.

And books…I LOVE books, they are some of my most prized possessions!  I read daily and usually am in the middle of 5 -8 books at any given time.  They are amazing resources and if you can find what your looking for at your local library or can afford to purchase them, you are in good standing. Reading is a powerful tool! Do it daily if possible.

My point is, that now, because of the phenomenal amount of quality information available through the internet and because of the scope and ability of science to now peer into a funtioning human brain (fMRI), the techniques that are pouring into the field of self help psychology are enabling people, (you and me) to experience unprecedented  personal growth like we’ve never seen.

AND, some of the best news to me, is the speed at which we can begin seeing these results, which are starting to move at Jet Speed!

In my current research I am running across many cutting edge and astounding new methods that are on the cusp of breaking into mainstream awareness in the area of personal psychology and self help.  It’s so inspiring for someone such as myself, who has been their own therapist for much of their life, to uncover such powerful tools which have the ability to help people overcome personal issues at such an accelerated pace!

It won’t be possible in one post to study or analyze the many methods, but consider this an introduction for anyone looking to move forward in their personal success & well-being, escape limiting beliefs or finally be released from emotional patterns that have defeated you from experiencing the life you want.  And do it in literally minimal amounts of time compared to the vast amounts it’s usually taken in the recent past.

Now, to me, that’s incredible and such a breath of fresh air its hard for me to contain it!

For years and years, I have been on the search for methods that I could easily utilize in the privacy of my own home, that would be cost effective and would, most importantly, not require long years of implementation before I could see positive results.  I believe we are starting to see those methods come forward and be available to anyone who has the desire to apply themselves and who has an open heart.  And these methods aren’t just changing behavioral patterns, they are transforming lives!

Ok, I know you are sitting on the edge of your seat and demanding to know….what are some of these methods?!  This will be the first of probably several posts on this topic, but just to whet your appetite here are few things you can look up to get you started and not feel like I’ve left you hanging just when it’s getting good!

1) The Promise of Energy Psychology (book)

2) Tapping Therapy (technique)

3) Chakra Clearing (technique)

These should get you started and give you an idea of what’s available to you.  Enjoy!

Cheers to Jet Speed Personal Growth,

Kristi Jayne

A Perfect Place To Hide

A soft breeze brushes across my cheek and gently ripples the top of the pond water as the sun flashes diamond reflections off the tiny waves.

Birds twitter and flit happily through the trees all around me and an occasional “ker-plunk” along the waters edge gives away a frog’s hiding spot.

The baby leaves of Spring flutter quietly in the late morning run, the treetops swaying with the random gusts of wind up high.

I…am perched upon the top of an over-sized picnic table hidden on the backside of a large pond in a small grove of hardwoods out in the middle-of-nowhere Tennessee.

The quiet peacefulness here, in this tucked away place,  soothes my worried soul and the familiar caress of the sun warms my skin and eases my mind.

I awoke with an dark emotional storm brooding in my head and haven’t been able to push away the gloomy  clouds of my inner turmoil all morning…   It’s so strange to me, how the world outside can be bursting with light and beauty and inside I can be lost in a personal whirlwind of painful emotions.

I came here, escaped here…to see if I could stem the tide of mental ache before it overwhelms me to the point of ending up the whole day in my bed.  I tried my meditation, I tried to get a hold of myself, but this tempest just wouldn’t have it, wouldn’t back down and retreat.  So I fled to the silence of nature to see if perhaps I could gather my wits, calm the angry waves of distress and face my life.

This is nothing new to me.

I have fought this battle too many times to count.  The only difference is that I seem to be getting better at beating it, before it’s able to drag me down into that prison of pain, inner pain.  The kind that is so hard to explain or understand if you’ve never visited that island of darkness.

I have come along way in this fight…not far enough, but far enough to know I am getting the upper hand.  Well, usually.

Not today…

I have carelessly allowed to many heavy thoughts through my mental gates in the past few days.  My mind is filled with worry and restlessness today.  When I’m not watching, purposefully… negative thoughts, thoughts of lack and thoughts of unhappiness build up quickly and begin weighing me down with the darkest of moods.

Sometimes my life seems like a tight-rope act with an unceasing need for awareness as to balance.

Just when I think I’ve got the high-wire walk down…

I lose my balance and am thrown off guard.

Suddenly, frantically…

I’m a split second from losing my footing.

Just like that….

So, here I am.  Looking for a place to hide…

Looking for that inner balance once again.

Hoping that this time….I am able to make it to the other side.  One of these days I will.

Here’s to balance and perfect hiding places,

Kristi Jayne

P.S.  Part 2 of “Busting Your Limiting Money Beliefs” is still on it’s way.

Bust Your Limiting Money Beliefs

Has anyone ever sat you down…

At any point in your life…

Maybe when you were a child,or a teen, or even an adult…

And asked you the question…

What do you believe about money?

I don’t know about you, but my answer to that question is a big, fat NO!

No one in my entire life has ever really asked me about my beliefs around money, even though it’s something that I deal with on a daily basis and has a huge impact on the scope and breadth of my life!

And now that I’m aware of it…I can’t figure out why?  Why didn’t anyone ever sit down with me and directly talk about Money: The Good, Bad and Ugly?   Why isn’t there Money 101 in school?  Even in college, why don’t they offer a course in Money-Making 101?  It’s well-known that there are understandable, systematic ways to creating money or generate wealth, so why aren’t the masses educated in this most important, even vital aspect of living…of living a quality, satisfied life?  If education is SO important and knowledge is power, then why aren’t we being equipped from our earliest educational years, how to understand money, positive and negative beliefs about it, and how to create it and sustain it’s flow?  Why?

If you ask me, it’s a good question to be asking…

Especially if you are interested in creating positive income for yourself in order to support you, your loved ones and your lifestyle.

Some people seem to come by it naturally, others struggle, sometimes their whole lives.  I have to admit that up until I began asking these questions, I would fall into the second category for many, many years.

Let me tell you a story….

Once upon a time (yes, in case your wondering, this is for adults) there was a young women living in the early 21st century.  She was born and raised on American soil, but had a World Wide curiosity.  She was born into a middle class, hard-working family…one where you worked hard, were frugal with money, grateful for everything you had and where the understood motto around money was “getting by is good enough“.

There was seldom any direct reference to money when she was growing up and a few of the ideas that she picked up from watching and listening to her family’s story around money were as follows…

-wanting money is bad

-you should be thankful for what you have and not covet more

-you have to work hard to make money

-lack around money is just part of life

-money is scare and hard to come by

You get the idea….these are the messages I received and without knowing it, adopted as my own belief concerning money.  And guess what?

I have lived out those very beliefs until recently when I began to challenge my own limiting beliefs that I held around money.  Until I became aware of that fact that I was holding onto and manifesting limiting beliefs around money, I simply thought that all those ideas/beliefs were just true because I received those messages from the time I was very young.

The great news is….that they aren’t! A belief is something that you can acknowledge and change!  And that is precisely what I have been working on for the past several months.  And slowly, but surely, my limiting beliefs and negative energy around money have begun to shift.  I am creating a new script with money and the coolest thing is…anyone can do it!

Here’s a great quote from  Joshua Benavides, a well-known and respected EFT Practitioner, on the idea of limiting money beliefs. (click anywhere on the quote and you can visit his webpage)

“If you don’t clear out past negative beliefs about money and success, you’ll never create the wealth you desire. That means: THINK, FEEL and ACT congruent with a Wealthy Mindset. If you want more money but your Unconscious Mind feels it’s not safe to have more (or that you don’t deserve it) there’s no way that you’re going to have it.  Joshua Benavides

How do they know you will never have it under those circumstances?

Because your subconscious mind controls a huge portion of your life and will carry out whatever beliefs are held there regardless if you know they are there or not. And regardless if those beliefs help you or hinder you in your life.  If they are there, your subconscious mind works to manifest them.

(click on the link ‘subconscious mind’ in the sentence above to read more in depth on this subject)

This was simply amazing to me when I discovered this idea.

All these years I have been holding huge limiting beliefs around the area of money and I didn’t even know they were there.  AND, I have been living them out daily, even though it’s been the EXACT opposite of what I truly want!

Well, it looks like this is going to be Part 1 of this post.  Too much great info to cram into just one post around this subject that affects each one of us so profoundly in our lives.  So will wrap this up for now.  Between now and when I post Part 2, I want to take a second to ask you a question.

What do you believe about Money?

Take a few minutes, get a piece of paper and jot down the top five things that come to your mind when you think about Money.  You might be surprised what you find.

For some truly liberating information on audio by world renown Energy Medicine Therapist Carol Tuttle, who is also amazing at helping people identify and change limiting beliefs in their life, click on the link below.

In Part 2 of this post I will be discussing how to deal with these limiting beliefs and will share some amazingly simple techniques for changing these beliefs that work surprisingly fast if you can be honest with yourself!  So don’t miss the follow up and if you haven’t signed up to recieve email updates for my blog you can do that at the top right of this page.

Cheers… to Busting our limiting Money Beliefs!

A Perfect Moment By The Beach…

Have you ever seen a more vast or bluer sky than when you are sitting on the beach looking out over the immense expanse of the ocean?

I see a small group of black-headed gulls that are riding the waves like little bobbers floating upon the surface of the water…and the curious thing is that they seem to be having fun at it!

The air still carries a slight chill from last night, but the sun reaches out to me with its warm energy, wrapping me in the comfort of its gentle rays.

Time seems to take a backseat here for the most part, unless you are trying to make it up to your room for lunch or dinner.  And to linger for a while by the surf, watching the crashing, foaming waves can seem like only a few moments or an eternity.

The place where the water and the land meet is a very healing place for me…washing away my earthly cares and filling me up with serenity and strength.  Much of my time here this trip has been spent pondering and contemplating  life, combing the ocean shore as I also comb the shores of my inner world.

This place where land, sky and water meet is a place where I find solitude and silence and space to gather my thoughts, work through struggles or places of “stuckness” and move a little closer to a healthy, happy “me”.

As I look around I see the boldly, striped resort towels, in green and white, all scattered around on the seaside lounge chairs.  These chairs are some of the most comfortable I’ve ever sat in and once I do it seems like I could languish forever.

Peoples hearts seem more open and much more friendly here than in the real world.  I have been able to see a breakthrough in an area that I’ve struggled with for many years, “fear of people” or that people feel scary, something left over from my childhood, but I’ve found still limits me in my current life.

Working through my limiting beliefs around the fear of people and being here in this place where people are more relaxed and willing to chat has been an enlightening experience for me.

I have met Bill from Vermont and his lovable, black Labradoodle, Jasmine.  Then there was Nancy who I watched practicing some sort of beautiful, slow movements on the beach and got up the nerve to go and ask her what she was doing….”Ti Chi” she explained with a warm smile.  Also there was Tom, a Michigan high-school teacher whom I came across while sunbathing on my beloved lounge chairs.  We had an engaging conversation about education, teenagers, horses and the pros and cons of living in either Georgia or Tennessee.

People can be scary… especially to a young, introverted child, but there are also people that are truly wonderful and a pleasure to meet and speak with.   It’s been amazing to feel my energy truly shift in these areas of limiting beliefs and to also feel with that shift a strong release of positive energy within me.

Cheers to many more perfect moments and for the resolve to search them out!

New Ways of Thinking….(Part 2)

So here I am watching the sun setting over the ocean in Myrtle Beach, SC in a comfortable lounge chair and getting my first real dose of sunshine for the Spring.

My last post left you wondering what happened when I held my hands over my pile of newly purchased Rose Quartz stones.

I wanted to feel something, but was afraid that I might manufacture it because I really did want to feel something.  So I tried my best to clear my mind and open my heart, since that is the area Rose Quartz is supposed to work on.

The truth is…

I didn’t feel anything….the first time.  In fact I felt kinda silly sitting there holding my hands over a bunch of colored rocks, or at least that’s what my inner critic thought of it! I didn’t care though.

I completely loved the idea and the process and knew that it was possible that I had more to learn before I could utilize them correctly.

So I left them sitting there in their flower shape and went to join the family in the water park.

After our weekend was over and I was back at home in my familiar space, I decided to get the Rose Quartz stones out and placed them on my kitchen table along with a lit candle.  Once again, I intuitively felt that they should be placed in the flower shape, but also felt they should all be equidistant from each other and the large middle stone precisely in the center.  So I did…

For some reason, just looking at them was comforting and the mildly flickering candle brought a calmness to the atmosphere as well.  Even though I wasn’t experiencing anything overwhelming from them, I decided to just leave them and “be” with them and see what happened.  As I went about my day, cleaning, unpacking…the kids off at school, I really enjoyed being able to see them as I passed by the kitchen door and several times I was drawn to take a seat at the kitchen table and once again hover my hands slightly above the stones.

What I discovered, after doing this several times, was something akin to a warm, very subtle vibration coming from the stones.  It didn’t seem to be tangible really, just something I could sense on an energy level.   And it made me happy and was comforting in a way I couldn’t explain.  Of course my analytical brain made excuses and scoffed at the idea that I truly felt something, but I just embraced it for what it was and determined to keep an open heart and an open mind!

My journey is continuing…I am learning more about gemstone energy medicine.  Sounds so foreign, yet completely intriguing.

I purchased an 25″ Onyx therapeutic gemstone necklace, which is supposed to be helpful for grounding yourself and am continuing to study and research Energy Medicine in general to see where this path will lead.

In the meantime, I am relaxing and finding plenty of time for mindful meditation here at my favorite place…the beach!  I am currently reading “Free Agent Nation” by Daniel H. Pink, an amazing  book on the future of working for yourself and utilizing the internet to do so.

My days here so far have been sunny, cool and breezy. I have completely enjoyed the long hours of sitting casually on the beach, no schedules, no one to take care of but myself! What’s not to love?

The ocean is a great place for contemplation and pondering and I am doing plenty of that too!

Cheers to more sunny days and new ways of thinking!
